The Baltimore Ravens have little room for error in their schedule. After a disappointing loss to Cleveland, Baltimore needs to respond quickly.

Baltimore’s schedule now features the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars over the next three games. All three opponents have a bye week before facing Baltimore, giving them extra time to rest and prepare.

The Ravens also face uncertainty at quarterback. Lamar Jackson has missed the last two games with an ankle injury. Though he is “heading in the right direction,” his availability will play a major role in Baltimore’s upcoming matches.

A Second Divisional Loss Would Put Baltimore in a Hole

The Ravens schedule features a critical upcoming matchup that could reshape the AFC North race.

Baltimore hosts the Cincinnati Bengals on October 25 in a game it cannot afford to overlook. The Ravens already lost their first divisional matchup against Cleveland. Another loss would drop Baltimore to 0-2 against AFC North opponents, which would create early pressure in a tough division.

Ja’Marr Chase presents another major challenge for Baltimore’s defense. The Bengals receiver has consistently threatened opposing secondaries with his speed, route running and ability to win contested catches. Chase has historically torched Baltimore, delivering dominant performances in this matchup.

The Bills Have Owned This Matchup Since 2021

It doesn’t get any easier when Baltimore travels to face the 5-1 Buffalo Bills. Buffalo has been a difficult opponent in recent years, holding a 4-1 record against the Ravens since 2021.

Some of those losses have been especially frustrating, making this matchup another opportunity to change the narrative. Playing in Buffalo only adds to the difficulty, as the Ravens must handle a hostile road environment.

Josh Allen remains one of the biggest challenges for Baltimore’s defense. His combination of arm strength, mobility and decision-making allows him to extend plays and punish defensive mistakes. The Ravens must contain him both inside and outside the pocket after having 121 rushing yards against the Rams.

A Short Week After Buffalo Makes Jacksonville Dangerous

The final game of this stretch in the Ravens schedule brings another difficult test for Baltimore. The Jacksonville Jaguars visit M&T Bank Stadium while the Ravens face a short week, forcing them into a quick turnaround after traveling to Buffalo.

Jacksonville has developed into a competitive opponent under head coach Liam Coen, making this more than a routine home game. The Ravens must prepare for another strong team while managing the physical demands on a shorter week. The turnaround could become a major factor. Players will have limited time to recover from the Bills game, and coaches must quickly prepare a new game plan.

The 4-2 Jaguars’ quality makes this matchup particularly important. Baltimore cannot afford to overlook the Jaguars while focusing on the games before them. For the Ravens to finish this stretch in a strong position, they must approach each opponent seriously.

Ravens Schedule Presents Critical Three-Week Test

Crucially, Baltimore’s schedule presents a significant test over the next three weeks within their schedule. Baltimore must handle an important divisional matchup, a difficult road game and a challenging short-week contest.

The Bengals game carries added importance because the Ravens already lost their first AFC North matchup. Buffalo presents another opportunity to prove themselves against a strong opponent, while Jacksonville will test Baltimore’s ability to recover and prepare quickly.

These three games won’t decide the entire season, but they could shape Baltimore’s playoff outlook. The Ravens need to respond now before their demanding divisional schedule arrives in December.
