Waiver Wire claims can make or break a fantasy season. I’ll be here every week with my top adds to save you time. This column will run weekly on Tuesdays throughout the regular season. College football betting is off and running as well.
While many rosters won’t change before Week 1, below are the top waiver claims to consider if spots remain open. Percentages are based on ESPN’s rostered player data.
Andrei Iosivas (1.9%)
Iosivas will start the year as the No. 3 receiver on the Bengals’ depth chart after beating out third-round rookie Jermaine Burton in camp. If Ja’Marr Chase‘s holdout continues into the regular season, Iosivas’ value would grow even further as Joe Burrow‘s No. 2 target. Working out of the slot, the size-speed specimen is worth a stash at the end of benches.
Rashod Bateman (6.5%)
Despite a poor start to his career, the Ravens’ faith in Bateman remains. After extending him this offseason and neglecting to add serious competition during the draft or free agency, Bateman remains Lamar Jackson‘s third option. He’s finally past the 2022 Lisfranc injury that hampered his play for most of last season, and the coaching staff continues to sing his praises. There’s reason to leave the light on for the former first-round pick.
Jalen McMillan (2.9%)
The third-round rookie impressed all offseason en route to winning a starting role as the Buccaneers’ No. 3 receiver. McMillan’s collegiate production suggests he could’ve gone higher than the 92nd overall pick, and opportunity is ripe for the picking given Tampa Bay’s aging receiving corps.
Wan’Dale Robinson (6.6%)
Robinson earns targets frequently from the slot and figures to produce as the team’s No. 2 receiver. The Giants’ offense will never be a thriving ecosystem with Daniel Jones at quarterback, but it’s likely to improve upon its feeble 2023 efforts thanks to the addition of Malik Nabers and a patched-up offensive line.
Zach Ertz (2.1%)
The 33-year-old played under head coach and offensive play caller Kliff Kingsbury at his last stop in Arizona, and the Commanders need pass catchers badly. Behind Terry McLaurin sits a handful of unreliable misfits and a pair of rookies in Luke McCaffrey and Ben Sinnott. Ertz will turn the job over to Sinnott eventually, but he looks like Jayden Daniels’ No. 2 target out of the gate.
