Warriors-Pistons Preview

A victory against the Detroit Pistons tonight will give the Warriors their first ever 6-0 road trip.

After missing Wednesday’s game at Charlotte with shoulder soreness, Draymond Green returns to a lineup that is now without Zaza Pachulia. Don’t be surprised if Kerr throws Green at the 5 at some points during this game to help slow down Andre Drummond.

In addition to Green, look for JaVale McGee and David West to help contain the Pistons’ big.

The Dubs will have to cut off Detroit’s perimeter shooting. The Pistons are sixth in the NBA in three point percentage at 37.6%. The combo of Tobias Harris and Avery Bradley are shooting 46.3 and 40.5 percent from deep respectively. The Warriors defence cannot afford for those two to get hot.

Offensively the burden is not only on Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson to compensate for the loss of Stephen Curry. The bench has to continue its production. They are a league leading 54 percent shooting. Look for the unit to play up this advantge tonight.

Tipoff: 7:00 EST At Little Caesar’s Arena

TV: ESPN and NBC Sports-Bay Area

Line: Warriors by 5.5
