Free agent center Larry Sanders has been in talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers according to Sam Amico. The last time the 6’11 Center played played was back during the 2014-2015 as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. There is no deal in place as of yet but Sanders has shown interest in playing for Cleveland as his team of choice. Over half of the teams in the league have explored the possibility of signing Sanders this season.

There were photos posted by Sanders where he showed that he was in Cleveland. It is not certain that he is there to meet with the team. Sanders held workouts for teams while in Miami but it is not known if the Cavaliers were one of those teams.

Sanders who averaged 7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks during his five year tenure with the Bucks walked away from the league without citing a clear reason. This past summer, he hinted at a possible return to the NBA.

The agent for the 28 year-old big man stated that he may likely sign with a playoff contender soon. A team like the Cavaliers, who just lost their star Forward is in need of depth in their front court. Sanders can fill that void while they await the return of Kevin Love.

We will continue to monitor the situation.
