Veteran PF Trevor Booker plans to sign with the Indiana Pacers upon his clearance from waivers, tweets Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
The 76ers needed to clear a roster spot in order to sign Ersan Ilyasova, and Trevor Booker was the victim. Booker was acquired back on December 7th from Brooklyn in exchange for C Jahlil Okafor.
Booker appeared in 33 games for the 76ers, all from the bench. He averaged a career-low 15 minutes per game during that time, in favor of Dario Saric and Amir Johnson.
In Brooklyn for the first part of the season, Booker averaged 10.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 21.9 minutes per game. The 30-year-old was coming off a career year last season in Brooklyn, posting averages of 10 points and eight rebounds per game.
This is a solid addition for Indiana, who lack depth behind Thaddeus Young at the power forward position. The Pacers (34-26) sit right in the middle of the Eastern Conference playoff picture in 5th, but are tied with both Milwaukee (33-26) and Philadelphia (32-26) in the loss column.
