Phoenix Suns Targeting Lonzo Ball at Draft, Sources Say

Lonzo Ball to the Suns? With the NBA Draft just a few days away, the rumors of potential trades are in high gear. The newest rumor comes out of Phoenix today.

According to Chad Ford of ESPN, the Suns are looking to move up from their #4 slot to draft UCLA Guard Lonzo Ball.  The team has reached out to both Los Angeles and Boston for their #2 and #3 picks respectively.

Ford stated that the Suns also have interest in Josh Jackson and Markelle Fultz as well but projects that all three will be gone before the Suns get their chance to pick.

Ball’s skills as a Point Guard makes it understandable for the Suns to covet him. In his lone season at UCLA, Ball averaged 7.6 assists per game, which lead the NCAA. A team with the youth that the Suns have could use a polarizing player such as Lonzo to generate some excitement for the team that had one of the worst records in the league last season.

Phoenix has Eric Bledsoe on the books for two more seasons and could be looking to Ball as a potential replacement.
