on

The Washington Wizards took a 1-0 series lead after a tremendous performance from John Wall to the tune of 32 points and 12 assists. The Wizards got a big boost from Forward Markieff Morris who contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds, while adding an element of toughness.

Game 2 will tip off at 7 pm Eastern and the Wizards are looking to have a repeat performance. The majority of Wall’s points came from an incredible where he shot 77% from the field, he had this to say after the game 1 win.

This is my house,”

“I’m letting them know this is my house. Like I said, I play in the moment. I play with a lot of energy and intensity and when I’m not being aggressive like that and into it, I’m not a great player. But if I’m into like that … if I’m scoring and my teammates are scoring, I’m always gonna be hype.” via Lang Whitaker NBA.com

The Atlanta Hawks are looking to even the series. After stating that the Wizards were playing “MMA” while the Hawks were playing basketball, Paul Milsap looks forward to matching the physicality and power his team to a win. The Hawks did not play their best but kept it close and they have their eyes on taking game 2. Expect a heavy dose of Thabo Sefolosha rotating on both Wall and Beal tonight, he is the Hawks best defensive option to counter the Wizards duo.
