New York Knicks PG Derrick Rose has suffered a torn meniscus in his knee, ending his season, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical announced via Twitter.
This is a sad thing to see if you are an NBA fan. The former first-overall pick adds yet another knee injury to his resume of injuries over his nine-year NBA career. Rose was traded to the Knicks last summer along with teammate Joakim Noah, which made what looked on paper a dangerous starting five including perennial all-star Carmelo Anthony and young phenom Kristaps Porzingis.
At 29-47, the Knicks find themselves eliminated from playoff contention and no where near it. New York’s front office is a hot mess with plenty of looming decisions for the summer, including what to do with Carmelo Anthony.
