As we all know, the Warriors are the best team in the NBA, and just about as good as a team has ever been in history. Without Curry, the Warriors appear to still be one tough team to beat. But how good? Is this a 50 win team? 55? 60? Let’s see. Considering they got to 73 WITH Curry, I would say it’s plausible that this is a 60+ win team with him on the bench. And here’s why.
This is still a phenomenal group of guys when Curry is out on the bench. Their roster is the deepest and most complete I have ever seen. Alongside Curry, his his fellow splash bro Klay Thompson, a Top 5 shooting guard easily. I don’t care what you say about Klay, this guy balls. Draymond Green is the third best forward in the league, more complete than Kawhi, but not quite KD or LeBron. Harrison Barnes is a top 10 small forward. Andrew Bogut is a top 10 center. Shaun Livingston (my favorite player on that team), is supremely underrated, and at LEAST a top 15 point guard and would start on practically any other team. Festus Ezeli also very underrated, is an up and coming star and already a top 15 center. Andre Iguodala (another favorite), is a very talented player and defensive specialist. Mo Buckets even gets hot from time to time. Let’s not also forget the great Steve Kerr, a very smart coach. The team doesn’t skip a beat and runs plays fluidly, finding open players and taking and making the best shots like they always have.

One thing that separates these boys without Curry is the fact that they retain all of their energy and chemistry and excitement. They have fun and steamroll teams away. So many teams would look lost or clearly handicapped without their top dog, but this Warriors machine just keeps chugging at full power. The only teams I would put over them in terms of talent are San Antonio and the Cavaliers. However, this team could get more wins than Clevelend (57 wins this season) since LeBron’s teams like to coast to the finals, and who can blame them? Because of this, I feel that the Warriors without Curry are top notch, and would scratch and claw their way to 60+ wins, which tells you just how legendary this team is. Hopefully, Curry remains healthy and we’ll never have to find out, but it would no doubt be a fun experiment.
